Hello all, I am sponsoring my own contest in order to get more people reading. It is a personal goal of mine to inspire others to put down their modern devices(except for the kind meant for reading) and opt to pick up a book. Books have the ability to take you to worlds of new and old, heal wounds that needed tending and bring joy in times of unrest. I would love to pass along the value of a good book to the masses.  Entry rules are simple, post below three books you enjoyed the most this year or tips to encourage reading, if you are not an avid book reader then post whats holding you back or 3 books you plan on reading. I am hoping that your post will offer good book suggestions as well as encourage others to pick up a book. Thanks to all who enter and Happy Reading!

    I just realized that you had a blog. I have always loved reading. It was greatly encouraged, and expected, in our family. I think your mission to promote this seemingly lost art is admirable.

    Reading is something I throughly enjoy doing, especially when I'm upset or stressed! It's just great to get out of my own world and get sucked into another world! A few books that I read this year that I really enjoyed were:
    Divergent by Veronica Roth, Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta, The Tiger's Saga by Colleen Houck...and they're are just so many more!

    I love reading so much I started my own book club. LOL!! It's so much better than TV cause no commercials.
    This year I read and enjoyed The Help, Devil in White city (still reading) and The Cross Country Quilters.

    I am currently reading two books, actually.
    Dandelion Fire by RD Wilson which is the sequel to the first book 100 cupboards. I am also starting the 3rd book of the series.

    I plan to read Miss Peregrines House for Peculiar Children soon too.

    your blog has inspired me to continue reading as i used to when i was younger:) Its such a relaxing hobby that i enjoy quite alot now. My favorite books are The Poisonwood bible, The Tao Of Wu, The Help and i always have a soft spot for the childhood favorite Alice in wonderland,what a great incentive for a giveaway:)

    I enjoyed Once Upon a River a lot, the Good Wife (wow), Room, The girl Who Jumped from the Sky and the Hottest Dish of the Tartar Cuisine. Have lots of a books around, and read to kids even if they are older, and listen to books too.
